In this study it's shown that 76 (% 14) of 534 primary malignant tumors of the kidney are carcinoma of the renal pelvis, the third most seen tumor after hypernephroma (328 cases, % 66) and Wilms tumor (100 cases %21).57 of the cases are (% 74,5) transitional cell cancer and differentiation showing transitional cell cancer, 17 (23 %) squamous cell carcinoma and 2 (% 2,5) adenocarcinoma. The median age of incidence is 62, and tumors of the renal pelvis develope four times more frequently in man than in woman. Grade II and III accounts for % 78 of renal pelvis tumors, whereas 72% of the tumors have been in stage III and IV. Differentiated transitional cell and squamous cell carcinoma in stage III and IV accounts for 78% of the tumors and 6 indifferentiated areas containing zones belong to this group. The correlation between the grades and stages has shown that these tumors have aggressive growing and this is particularly more obvious in squamous cell carcinoma and transitional cell carcinoma with squamous metaplasia.
