Papillary carcinomas of the breast are rarely seen when compared to the other histological types. In this study 5 cases of papillary carcinoma of the breast are discussed which were encountered between 1979 and 1985 in our institute. All the cases are women and their age varied between 40 and 82 with and average of 60 years.
