THE VALUE OF COMBINED UTILIZATION OF COMPUTERIZED TOMOGRAPHY (CT) AND COMPUTERIZED PLANNING (CTP) UNIT IN RADIOTHERAPY PLANNING

Tıp Fakültesi Radyoloji AD The combined utilization of CT and CTP units of Hacettepe University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiotherapy revealed high sensitivity to localize tumors in critical tissues and organs and also proved to be of high efficiency in determining the corrected isodose distribution in tissues with different absorption coefficients. The points to be taken into consideration during CT imaging for planning purposes are emphasized on, and the financial costs of this very advantageous therapeutic approach is also discussed.
