Study clinical features and treatment results of patients with Hodgkin's lymphoma and investigate prognostic factors affecting survival.
METHODS
Data of 92 Hodgkin's lymphoma patients treated and monitored
at our center between 1996 and 2013 was studied retrospectively.
RESULTS
73% of the patients had early stage (stage I-II) and 27% of the
patients had late stage (stage III-IV) of the disease. The most
common histological types were nodular sclerosis Hodgkin's
lymphoma (47%) and mixed cellular Hodgkin's lymphoma
(MCHL) (35%). Median survival time was 193.08±15.41
months and 1-, 3-, 5- and 10-year survival rates were 97.7%,
87.1%, 80.4% and 72.9% respectively. In univariate analysis,
stage (p<0.0001), bulky disease (p<0.025), presence of risk
factors (p<0.0001) and recurrence (p<0.027) were found to be
variables with effects on overall survival.
CONCLUSION
Median survival time and survival rates of our study are compatible
with those of other studies in the literatüre.
