2İstanbul Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi, Radyasyon Onkolojisi Anabilim Dalı, İstanbul OBJECTIVES
In this study, the aim was to perform quality control of the Prowess Panther treatment planning system by comparing with the measurement data.
METHODS
For dosimetric measurements, Iba brand cc13 and FC-65P
0.6cc model (Scanditronix, Wellhöfer, Germany), the cylindrical
ion chambers, and Iba brand dose1 electrometer model,
RW3 solid water phantom and RFA-300 water phantom, were
used. Measurements were performed with Elekta Synergy linear
accelerator. RFA-300 Wellhöfer profile measurements were
taken using a water phantom in the wedge and open field depth
dose, off-axis ratio, and different x, y and diagonal directions.
Output measurements were performed with RW3 solid water.
RESULTS
Open and wedge field percentage depth dose (PDD) and profiles
of the treatment planning system were compared with
measurements at Dmax, 5 cm, 10 cm, and 15 cm depths. The
results were within the boundaries of acceptable BJR and
found less than 3%.
CONCLUSION
Based on the quality control results, the Prowess Panther v5.01
Planning System was within the boundaries of acceptable accuracy
in dosimetry.
