İstanbul Üniversitesi İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi, Nükleer Tıp Anabilim Dalı, İstanbul In this review article, the use of recent technology Flour18deoxyglucose Positron Emission Tomography (FDG-PET) in melanoma has been discussed. Studies in the medical literature regarding the use of FDG PET in early melanoma, staging of melanoma, sentinel lymph node detection, local recurrence and in transit metastasis, distant metastasis and restaging were reviewed and evaluated. Treatment evaluation with PET, recent developements in new PET radiopharmaceuticals and use of PET probe in melanoma has been quoted.
