Uludağ Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi, Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum Anabilim Dalı, Bursa Eighty-eight endometrial cancer patients who were treated and followed-up were retrospectively evaluated. Depth of myometrial invasion, differentiation of tumor, metastases to the near and distant organs, recurrence and survival patterns were examined in 85 operated cases. All the patients who had only endometrial involvement had well differentiated tumors and none of them had metastases to the lymph nodes. 61.3% of the superficial myometrial invasion cases had grade I tumors and there were metastases in one case (2.7%) to the paraaortic lymph nodes, in two cases (4.6%) to the cervix, in two cases (4.6%) to the fallopian tubes. Eleven of the 34 cases (32.3%) who had deep myometrial invasion had grade III tumors, and there were metastases in 3 cases (8.8%) to the pelvic lymph nodes, in 3 cases (8.8%) to the paraaortic lymph nodes, in 7 cases (20.6%) to the cervix, in 3 cases (8.8%) to the ovaries, in one case (2.9%) to the vagina and in one case (2.9%) to the lung and in one case (2.9%) to the fallopian tubes. Poor prognostic factors were increased in cases of poor differentiation and deep myometrial invasion. Keywords :
