PRIMARY MEDIASTINAL GERM CELL TUMORS: A CLINICOPATHOLOGIC STUDY OF FOUR CASES

Marmara Üniversitesi, Göğüs Cerrahisi AD, İstanbul Primary mediastinal germ cell tumors arise form gonads and sacrococcygeal area in adults and children respectively. Four male patients, ages ranging between 17 and 29 were diagnosed as having primary mediastinal germ cell tumor between 1991 and 1993. Two patients were treated by combination of chemotherapy and surgery and the other two by chemotherapy and surgery. Treatment porotocols and follow-ups in these patients are analyzed. Keywords :
