The diagnosis of the primary pericardia! mesothelioma was established antemortally on a patient 9,5 years old boy which admitted with a tentative diagnosis of pericarditis. In reviewing the literature to search the incidence of this tumor which is very rare in all age groups just six cases were found. The diagnosis was confirmed by postmortem examination.
